NOVOTEL
ROMA LA RUSTICA – Rome, Italy
If you manage to survive
driving on the Rome highway circle, you might reach
the Novotel Roma La Rustica. At least, that’ll
save you from taking your car into the city itself.
The hotel has a shuttle bus service driving you
to and from the central train station (30 minutes)
a few times a day. Great service, but reserve your
seats a few days in advance, otherwise you’ll
end up using a very expensive taxi or inconvenient
local train.
The Novotel Roma La Rustica looks very nice and
dinner and breakfast are okay. Sure, you’re
not in the city, but after sightseeing from 9am
till 7pm in 36 degrees Celsius, the hotel shuttle
bus suddenly feels very comfortable. And after a
dive in the small hotel pool, you’ll feel
much better having left the city early. We even
managed to skip dinner one night after we fell asleep
at 8pm until the other morning. Guess that means
the beds are okay too!
