EUROPE
Belgium > Brussels
A world class hotel in the heart of Brussels

General
Like a true diamond in the middle of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Rocco Forte Hotel Amigo sits quietly on a street corner, almost next to Brussel's famous Grand Place, which is considered by many the most beautiful city square in Europe.

A major refurbishment after the 2000 takeover by the Rocco Forte Group rightfully places Hotel Amigo back again where it belongs: the absolute top.

History
First mention of the building that now houses Hotel Amigo goes back to 1522, when the city council bough it from a wealthy merchant family, to turn it into a prison. The building served multiple purposes over the centuries that followed, and was turned into a hotel in 1957.

Services
Airport or Train station pickups are among the possibilities, and if you arrive by car, there's the valet parking service.

On the ground floor we find the Ristorante Bocconi, for great Italian cuisine in a relaxing mediterranean atmosphere. Meeting rooms for up to 200 people provide everything you need for your business meetings, dinner parties, banquets or conferences.
Hotel Amigo has a fitness centre equipped with the newest machines, so you can stay in optimal shape during your stay.

The hotel

The hotel has 155 Superior and Deluxe air-conditioned rooms, 18 suites, and the Blaton suite for ultimate luxury. The 180sqm Blaton Suite is situated on the top floor of the hotel and has an enormous roof terrace (40sqm) which offers you a great view over Brussel's rooftops.
The Suite has two ensuite bedrooms, a large sitting room, a dining room, a private kitchen and an open fire place. The Blaton Suite is quite often used by delegates from different countries (after all, Brussels houses the NATO Headquarters), but it has also been the home to rockstars such as David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen and Robbie Willams.

The different room types are also in different colors. Dark blue for the standard rooms, Red for the suites and Green for the Blaton Suite.
Nice detail: in every room you will find at least one image of Tintin, whose creator Hergé was from Brussels.
This gives every room a nice and friendly touch.

This hotel is a treat as big as the rest of Brussels, think only of Belgian chocolates and Belgian beer and you know what we're talking about ;)
